AION 2 Chanter Build Guide (Framework)
Chanter in one paragraph
Chanter sits in the S-tier of nearly every PvE ranking — and it's the least understood class in the game. It's AION 2's hybrid support: offensive buffs, off-heals, and honest melee damage in one package. Groups want you for the buffs; you level like a slow, tanky fighter with a mantra playlist running.
Strengths & costs
- Strengths — party-wide buffs that stack with a Cleric's healing, self-sufficiency while soloing, and a permanent group slot.
- Costs — your healing is secondary: you complement a Cleric, you don't replace one. Damage output will never top a chart.
Gearing framework
- Primary line — hybrid stats: attack for solo damage, with HP as your floor (you melee in mid-range of danger).
- Leveling — any main-stat upgrade; don't overthink pre-endgame.
- Endgame — a buff-focused support set for groups and a damage set for solo dailies.
Mantra discipline
Chanter's actual skill expression is mantra management: running the right buff set for the moment (damage for trash pulls, mitigation for bosses, speed for travel) instead of setting one playlist and forgetting it. Swap early, swap often — it's free throughput.
With a Cleric
In serious group content Chanter + Cleric is the standard support pair — you buff and patch, they carry the big heals. Solo players who want a faster dailies clear than Cleric but the same 'unkillable' feel should main Chanter instead.
